By Air:
Nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport (Kullu-Manali Airport), 50 km from Manali. From there, taxis and buses are available.
By Road:
Manali is well-connected by road from Delhi, Chandigarh, and Shimla. Regular HRTC and private buses run daily. You can also hire a cab.
By Train:
Nearest railway station is Joginder Nagar (162 km from Manali), but it’s less convenient. Better options are Chandigarh or Pathankot railway stations, followed by a road journey to Manali.

Itinerary
Arrive at Patlikuhal, the gateway to the Saurkundi Pass Trek. From here, transfer to Chetti Base Camp, the starting point of the trek. After reaching the camp, complete registration and meet your trek leader for a detailed briefing about the route, safety instructions, and acclimatization tips. Spend the rest of the day relaxing, exploring the surroundings, and enjoying the fresh mountain air. Dinner and overnight stay in tents at Chetti Base Camp.
After breakfast, take a scenic drive from Chetti to Shegli, the trailhead for the trek. Enjoy the picturesque landscapes along the route with views of pine forests, rivers, and distant peaks. Once at Shegli, settle into your campsite and spend the evening relaxing amidst nature. Dinner and overnight stay in tents at Shegli.
Start your trek from Shegli to Hora Thach, passing through alpine meadows, flowing streams, and lush forests. The trail gradually ascends, offering panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges. Arrive at Hora Thach by afternoon, set up camp, and enjoy the serene environment. Dinner and overnight stay in tents at Hora Thach.
After breakfast, continue trekking from Hora Thach to Mahili Thach, ascending through rolling meadows and gentle slopes. The trail is scenic, with vibrant wildflowers, snow patches, and clear streams along the way. Reach Mahili Thach, set up camp, and unwind while enjoying the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Wake up early for the highlight of the trek: a day hike to Saurkundi Pass. Ascend gradually through rocky ridges, alpine meadows, and snow-covered slopes.
