By Road:
Manali is well-connected by road from Delhi, Chandigarh, and Shimla. Regular HRTC and private buses run daily. You can also hire a cab.

By Train:
Nearest railway station is Joginder Nagar (162 km from Manali), but it’s less convenient. Better options are Chandigarh or Pathankot railway stations, followed by a road journey to Manali.

Arrive at Chhetti Village, the starting point of the Ranisui Lake Trek, located near Old Manali. Once you reach the campsite, complete the registration and meet your trek leader for a detailed briefing about the route, safety instructions, and upcoming days. The rest of the day is for acclimatization and light exploration around the base camp. Enjoy the fresh mountain air, surrounded by pine and apple orchards, and settle into your tents for an overnight stay at Chhetti Village.

After breakfast, begin your trek from Manali towards Lama Dugh, a beautiful alpine meadow located at an altitude of around 10,000 ft. The trail passes through dense forests of pine, oak, and cedar, gradually opening up to vast grassy slopes offering stunning views of Indrasan, Deo Tibba, and Bara Shigri Glacier. The trek is moderately steep but scenic throughout. Reach Lama Dugh by afternoon, set up camp amidst the meadows, and spend the evening enjoying sunset views and a hot dinner under the stars.
