Overview
Kheerganga Trek (Khir Ganga), is one of the most well-known trekking destinations in Himachal Pradesh. Located deep in the Parvati Valley, Kheerganga presents trekkers with a wealth of memorable experiences! A trekker can undertake the trek at any time of the year as per his or her weather preference. It is a short, easy trek, that even beginners can undertake. The trek starts from Barshaini, at the dam built on river Parvati, and goes to Kheerganga, where you will be camping overnight in tents.

Itinerary

Barshaini
- 10:45 AM - Meet us at Barshaini. Before leaving Barshaini, take stock. This is where you can purchase additional supplies if need be.
- From here you will start the 9 km long trek to Kheerganga. The estimated time to cover this trek is 5-6 hours.
- The beginning of the trek is a gentle incline, the path lined with beautiful apple orchards. As the trek progresses, massive Deodars and oaks also become a common sight. You can hear the constant roar of the river Parvati flowing nearby, easily visible from Barshaini.
- Upon reaching, you can relax for a while at the camp set up at Kheerganga.
- Once you’ve unloaded, you can jump straight into the Parvati Kund, the hot water spring - a highlight of the trip. The sight of the snow-capped mountains, easily visible in the distance, are almost comical in their direct contrast to the warm water flowing around you.

The best time for the Kheerganga trek is April to June and September to November when the weather is pleasant and the trails are clear. Avoid the monsoon season (July-August) due to slippery trails.
The trek is moderate in difficulty and covers around 12 km, taking 5-6 hours to complete. It is suitable for beginners with basic fitness levels.
A guide is not mandatory, but if you're trekking for the first time, it's advisable to have one for safety and better navigation.

- Upon booking, the traveller will receive a confirmation voucher via email, within 24 hours.
- In the special cases of slots not being available, feasible alternatives will be provided to the customer, in regards to the customer’s preference. In such cases, a new voucher would be sent via email, consisting of the new travel details.
Refund Policy
- Any refund applicable will be processed within 7 business days.
Cancellation Policy
- Any cancellation made 25 days before the date of departure, would levy 15% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
- Any cancellation made within 15-25 days before the date of departure, would levy a 25% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Advisory
- Stay hydrated: Carry enough water and other fluids to stay hydrated throughout the yatra. It's important to drink water regularly, especially at higher altitudes.
