How To Reach

By Air:
Nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport (Kullu-Manali Airport), 50 km from Manali. From there, taxis and buses are available.

By Road:
Manali is well-connected by road from Delhi, Chandigarh, and Shimla. Regular HRTC and private buses run daily. You can also hire a cab.

By Train:
Nearest railway station is Joginder Nagar (162 km from Manali), but it’s less convenient. Better options are Chandigarh or Pathankot railway stations, followed by a road journey to Manali.

Arrive at Chetti Base Camp, located near Manali, the starting point of your Rumtu Summit Trek. After reaching the campsite, complete registration and meet your trek leader for a briefing about the trail, safety instructions, and acclimatization procedures. Spend the rest of the day exploring the serene surroundings of Chetti, nestled amid pine forests and apple orchards. Enjoy dinner by the campfire and an overnight stay at the base camp in tents.

Drive to Chansari and Trek to Kashadhra

After breakfast, drive to Chansari Village, the trek’s starting point. From here, begin your gradual ascent toward Kashadhra, a beautiful high-altitude meadow surrounded by dense cedar and oak forests. Spend some time at the top soaking in the 360° Himalayan panorama before descending to the Chaklani campsite, located just below the summit.
